With TK Stealth, CM Storm introduces an interesting gaming keyboard with compact layout. The company is certainly not new to this type of solution, however the Stealth is featured by an exclusive design of the keycaps. Naturally, since it is a product for gamers, the Quick Fire TK Stealth is available with various versions of the famous CherryMX mechanical switches.

Closer Look

With the Quick Fire TK Stealth, CM Storm has created a new compact gaming keyboard. The advantage of this layout is that the keyboard features a reduced size and it does not take as much space on the desk as a standard keyboard would. This is quite important and especially during LAN parties where it can be an advantage, since it is quite often the case that there is not enough space. Furthermore, the CM Storm Quick Fire TK Stealth is a very robust product. As oposed to some other models, the TK Stealth features a metal plate on its back, which makes it kind of indestructible. The Quick Fire TK Stealth is a mechanical keyboard and it is available on the market with CherryMX Brown, Red and Blue switches. Our sample uses the CherryMX Brown switches which give a good feedback.
The main feature of the TK Stealth regards the keycaps, unlike other models, as that they are labeled on the side rather than on the top. Despite initial skepticism we have not found any particular problems with typing. Cooler Master has also covered the keycaps with a nice material that will ensure a good grip.
To provide the Quick Fire TK Stealth with some additional functionality Cooler Master equipped it with an FN key. Unlike the old Quick Fire TK, the new model which we have today does not have a full backlight, but rather a partial one. On the TK Stealth only the arrows located in the numpad area and the F12 feature a white backlit.

If you lift up and rotate the CM Storm Quick Fire TK Stealth you will understand how robust this thing actually is. The build quality is on an extraordinary high level and you will not find any detail that is not fully integrated. Even the hardcore gamer (famous for consuming keyboards and mice) will enjoy this keyboard for a long time. Regarding connectivity, Cooler Master decided to use a black USB 2.0 cable, removable and sleeved.

Conclusion

General + -
Despite the small size of the product, we are faced with a well-designed and ergonomic keyboard. The coating present on the individual keycaps is great and CherryMX switches are smooth and without any uncertainties. We particularly enjoyed the presence of a keypuller inside the box. Despite being a rather basic and cheap accessory it is a great help in the removal of the individual keycaps.   - Weight

Manufacturing quality / Ergonomics   + -
From the ergonomic point of view, the keyboard is very comfortable to use, but the wrist rest would be appreciated. The TK Stealth gaming keyboard has a compact size and it is ideal for all those gamers that are frequent at LAN events or do not have much space on their desk. Despite the fact that this a gaming keyobard, the Quick Fire TK Stealth is not fully backlight. Overall, the materials used are of excellent quality as usual with Cooler Master. Last but not least, we really like the grip and the coat of each keycap. The design is a subjective aspect, but we think that the "Phantom Keycaps" looks extremely elegant, clean and aggressive at the same time.   - Build quality
- Comfort
- Backlight

Recommendation / Price   + -
On Geizhals.eu, the Cooler Master Quick Fire TK Stealth has a price of 84 euro excluding shipping costs. Despite being a gaming keyboard it does not have a full backlight but the quality of materials is on a high level and the product is very comfortable.     - Price

Rating
