Closer Look

With the first look at the MS-2 it is obvious that we are looking at a harmonius and ergonomically shaped gaming mouse. This gaming mouse has been built to fulfil the needs of right-handed people. Other than that, the Func MS-2 features a very grippy surface with a black matte finish. The materials used are of excellent quality, and even the softouch is well made and very comfortable. The Func MS-2 gaming mouse features a total of ten buttons which are fully programmable via software. The top of the mouse features two classic buttons devoted to the DPI setting as well as a solid wheel which is backlighted and almost entirely covered with rubber. The left side of the mouse features two additional buttons, in addition to the standard "forward" and "back" buttons. All the buttons are placed in a good way, and even the top ones are easily reachable and not prone to accident clicks. Func decided to use Omron switches on this model, which is definitely a good choice since Omron switches guarantee high reliability and longevity.

Back

Func decided to equip the MS-2 with an ADNS-3090 sensor. The maximum resolution is 4000 DPI, which is more than enough for any kind of gamer. The optical sensor is placed at the center and if you are looking for additonal weight, you will be disappointed, since this mouse does not allow any weight customization. Func decided to provide the MS-2 with three high-quality glide pads. Furthermore, the glide pads are made from teflon, which means they will last very long. A closer look at the cable reveals that it has been braided with a black and orange braid.

Software

Func include the software in the bundle and of course it is also available at the official website. The software GUI is perfectly in line with the attractive design of the mouse and it is practical as well as easy to use. With the supplied software, you can configure basically anything you might like to set yourself, such as for example, lighting colors, DPI, macros and much more. The management software is very light and includes interesting features such as a tool for backup/restore all the options.

Conclusion

General + -
The Func MS-2 is a very solid product, and overall, we were impressed with the build quality and a very good shape. The RGB backlight is well done and pleasant. So far this is one of the best built gaming mice we have ever come accross. The build quality is excellent and all the materials are perfect. The weight and size of the MS-2 make it suitable for palm grip users, but if we have to find a flaw we can say that the shape could not be suitable for everyone since is a bit big in terms of size. Even the pads are excellent, generous in size and good on any surface.   - Design
- RGB LED
- Big shape

Performance / Ergonomics   + -
As usual, we used the gaming mouse in both 2D and 3D environments for our tests. After a few days of use with standard office applications we can say that, despite being a gaming mouse, the Func product behaves very well any scenario as well, mostly thanks to the  numerous options that you can change within the software. Also, the gaming experience is very good, and we have used the MS-2 with both RTS and FPS games without any problem. Furthermore, we really like the glide pads, which are big, made from teflon and offer excellent gliding performance. The Func MS-2 gaming mouse features a total of ten buttons that despite they may seem like too many, they are comfortable and well placed.   - Sensor
