Closer Look

At first glance, the TteSport Ventus shows that this is a harmoniously designed and ergonomically shaped gaming mouse. This mouse has been built for both right- and left-handed people. The materials are of good quality and the plastic used is well made and very comfortable. The Ventus is quite compact when compared to the models tested so farm, in fact the product of TteSport is only 63 millimeters wide. The back of the TteSport Ventus features a small company logo backlighted in red as well as a breathable cover called "honeycomb cut-out" which ensures a continuous cooling to the palm of your hand. The TteSport Ventus gaming mouse features a total of seven buttons with Omron switches which are fully programmable via software. The top of the mouse features two classic buttons devoted to the DPI rotation and a small exagonal logo which is always backlighted in red. Overall, the buttons are placed in a good way, but in our opinion, the top two buttons are not so easily reachable.

Back

Although not detailed, the sensor behind the TteSport Ventus is most likely a PixArt ADNS-9500, since the maximum resolution is 5700 DPI. The laser sensor is placed on the left side of the mouse, but despite this fact, we have not seen any issues regarding sensor placement. The TteSport Ventus also features an adjustable weight system. For that purpose there are three small weights, which let you add 4.5g with each weight. The weight stones are positioned in the rear part of the body and are easy to access. TteSport decided to provide the Ventus with glide pads made of teflon, which means that these will last a very long time. A closer look at the cable reveals that it has been braided with a black sleeve.

Software

TteSport did not include the software in the bundle. In this case you first have to go to the manufacturers website to download the latest version by yourself. The software GUI is perfectly in line with the attractive design of the mouse and it is practical and easy to use. With the supplied software, you can configure basically everything you might like to set yourself, such as for example, lighting, DPI, macros and much more.

Conclusion

General + -
The TteSport Ventus is a pleasant surprise. The device is comfortable and has some really interesting features, despite the fact that it does not have a high price tag. The rubber surface provides a good grip for long gaming sessions and its symmetrical shape makes it perfect for both left- and right-handers. The laser sensor performs well and the software is practical and easy to use. Last but not least, the bundle is quite good since TteSport include a very good bag with a huge TteSport logo.   - Weight

Performance / Ergonomics   + -
As usual, we used the gaming mouse in both 2D and 3D environments for our tests. After a few days of use with standard office applications we can say that, despite being a gaming mouse, TteSport's product behaves very well in those scenarios as well as in gaming. We tested the TteSport Ventus with RTS and FPS games without any problems. The weight is about 100g but there is also the possibility to adjust it with three small 4.5g weights placed in the bottom rear part of the mouse. TteSport's device is also very thin and thanks to its particular shape it is also very comfortable. In our opinion only the upper buttons are hard to press because they are simply too small and too close to the palm.   - Comfort - Glide pads - Omron switches - Upper DPI buttons hard to be used

Software   + -
The TteSport's software is a good surprise. It is well-structured, easy to use and with a couple of good options. You will be able to change the aesthetics as well as all the functional aspects. The GUI interface is easy and simple, although we would also like to see a few more customizations from TteSport.   - Easy to use Too simple GUI

Recommendation / Price   + -
If you are looking for a highly customizable gaming mouse with seven buttons, then the TteSport Ventus is worth a closer look. The TteSport Ventus is available for 40 Euro at Geizhals, which we think is a fair price.   - Price

Rating
