Hey, yes you can tell the rev of the card by the BIOS, but I dont know which BIOS equals which card rev.
The only secure way is to have a look at the sticker on the PCB if it says rev 1.0 or 2.0. You can also tell with the PCB, ref PCB => 1.0, custom PCB => 2.0. Either way you need to have your eyes on the card.

If you really dont want to look at the card you can always flash the card with any 780 reference BIOS. If your card doesn't work anymore then you had a rev2.0. If it works you got a rev1.0

As for the GHz question. Yes you can flash the the WF3/OC 2.0 with the GHz Edition BIOS since they have the same PCB. You can also flash the 1.0 rev but you card won't work after so better not try and make sure you have a 2.0 rev card.

Now the chip is different, most likely you have a A1 chip on your card (recent ones may use B1, TBC) and the GHz Edition is B1. The B1 has better overclocking potential than A1 so if you flash your 2.0 rev card with the GHz Edition your card might not be stable.

Make sure to save/backup your card's original BIOS before doing anything. If you fail flash you can always use the IGP, another VGA to flash back your card with the original BIOS.

Re: ASUS Mars 760 #6
Yeah I was disappointed by the price. Doesn't make it interesting since the 760 SLI is quite cheaper.
Custom GTX 760 SLI: ~ 420 Euros
MARS 760: ~ 570 Euros

It is a premium product with very high manufacturing quality that did good performance and noise level wise. It wasn't meant to be a graphics card to buy instead of a 760 SLI for exemple. Like other MARS and ARES these are top products they can make and they know there will be some people that will buy them because they are special products.

Re: Which SSD should I buy? #8
For PCMark you need an strong Areca PCIe controller paired with 4x Samsung SSD in RAID to be competitive .
