Acer releases new 25-inch H257HU WQHD monitor

Zero-frame design and affordable price

Acer has announced its latest 25-inch WQHD monitor with "zero-frame" design and a rather affordable price, the Acer H257HU.

Based on a 25-inch IPS LED backlit panel with 2560x1440 (WQHD) resolution, the new Acer H257HU comes with 350 cd/m2 brightness, native contrast ratio of 1000:1, response time of 4ms and 178 degree viewing angles.

It also features two stereo built-in speakers with DTS Sound support and comes with DVI, DisplayPort 1.2, mini DisplayPort and an HDMI 2.0 inputs. According to Acer, the HDMI port provides bandwidth of 18Gbps which is enough for 4K content at 60 fps.

The new Acer H257HU also comes with a rather impressive brushed-metal finish and stand that allows it to tilt as well as a rather narrow side bezels, which should make it perfect for multi-screen setups.

What makes the Acer H257HU even more impressive is its US $369.99 price tag. The Acer H257HU is already available at Newegg, Amazon, TigerDirect and similar USA-based retailers, while similar H257HUsmidpx version is listed in Europe with a €399 price tag.
