Toshiba unveils new 12.5-inch Radius 12 notebook

With convertible 4K/UHD screen

Toshiba has announced its newest Satellite Radius 12 convertible notebook at IFA 2015 show in Berlin, featuring a 12.5-inch 4K/UHD touchscreen.

Weighing in at 1.3kg and being a mere 15mm thick, makes the new Toshiba Satellite Radius 12 a rather sleek looking notebook. With a 12.5-inch 3840x2160 IPS touchscreen display, protected by Gorilla Glass NBT, and a 360 degree hinge, the Radius 12 certainly aims at premium notebook market.

The screen itself is certified by Technicolor and can reproduce 100% of the Adobe RGB color gamut. Toshiba will also offer a Full HD 1920x1080 display as an option on the Satellite Radius 12 as well.

Toshiba also announced that the Satellite Radius 12 will come equipped with Intel's 6th generation Core Skylake CPU with Intel HD Graphics 520 IGP, up 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of M.2 SSD storage. The rest of the specifications include Harman Kardon speakers, 802.11ac WiFi, USB 3.1 Type-C port and a battery that should keep it running for around 8 hours.

Made for Windows 10 OS, the Satellite Radius 12 will also come with Windows Hello capable webcam, quick-access Cortana button, touchpad with gestures and support for Windows Continuum.

Unfortunately, Toshiba did not talk about the price but did say that the Satellite Radius 12 should be available in Q4 2015.
