Drobo releases DroboAccess for its NAS devices

Software for secure and simple remote access

Drobo, a company known for its business, professional and consumer grade Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices, has released DroboAccess, a part of the myDrobo suite of applications, which allows users to securely and simply access and share files on their NAS devices.

According to Drobo, the new DroboAccess software allows secure and encrypted remote access to files. It makes the files accessible from anywhere, at any time and most importantly, on any device, directly from a web browser or mobile device via dedicated iOS or Android app. It also allows users to host their personal cloud storage solution.

The myDrobo platform now allows users to address the issue of accessing information on a Drobo storage array that sits behind a secure home or office firewall. Each data transfer is encrypted and each Drobo carries a unique SSL certificate.

Currently available on Drobno 5N and B810n devices for free via Drobo Dashboard with iOS and Android applications available for US $0.99 on the App Store and Google Play.
