Dark Base 900 and Dark Base Pro 900

be quiet! brought its new Dark Base 900 and Dark Base Pro 900 full-tower PC cases to Computex 2016 which allowed us to see all the features in action.

Although officially announced back last month, we did not have a chance to check out the design and the features of these two cases in action like the removable and reversible motherboard tray, integrated Qi Wireless charger, RGB LED strips, fan controller and more.

The biggest feature of the Dark Base 900 is its removable motherboard tray, which is decoupled from the rest of the case in order to reduce vibrations and can actually be inverted for a different oriantation.

Both the Dark Base 900 and the Dark Base Pro 900 are a "super midi tower" PC cases made from 0.8-1mm SECC steel, aluminum and ABS plastic parts, as well as tempered glass panel on the Pro version.

Both cases measure at 242.7x585.5x577.2mm and support E-ATX motherboards, up to 470mm long graphics cards (325mm with HDD trays), up to 284mm long PSUs and up to 185mm tall CPU coolers.

Both come with 8 PCI expansion slots, has two 5.25-inch drive bays, seven 3.5-inch and a total of 14 + 1 2.5-inch drive bays.

When it comes to cooling, there is room for plenty of fans as well as up to 420mm liquid cooling radiator at the front and top of the case, a single 140mm at the rear and 240mm at the bottom.

The Dark Base Pro 900 comes with tempered glass side panel, Qi Wireless charger, RGB LED strips and better fan controller.

Both the standard and Pro versions of the be quiet! Dark Pro 900 PC case should be available in July with a price set at US $199 and US $249, respectively.
