Zotac boosts Sonix PCIe 480GB SSD speed

With new 10th Anniversary Edition

Zotac is celebrating its 10th anniversary with some really cool new and updated products and one of them is the new Sonix PCIe 480GB SSD 10th Anniversary Edition which got a cool boost in both the performance as well as the design.

Apparently based on the same hardware as the earlier available Sonix PCIe 480GB SSD, including Toshiba MLC NAND, 512MB of DDR3 cache and Phison E7 controller, the new Zotac Sonix PCIe 480GB 10th Anniversary Edition comes with slightly boosted sequential read and write performance of up to 2,800MB/s for read and up to 1,500MB/s for write.

This is a significant boost from the earlier 2,600MB/s for read and up to 1,300MB/s for write. Zotac also updated the design so the new Sonix PCIe 480GB 10th Anniversary Edition comes with a full black shroud and LED lighting on the backplate.

Unfortunately, we still do not have a precise price or the availability date.
