Cooler Master unveils MasterCase 6 Pro

With sleek design

During Computex 2016, Cooler Master has first shown what was to become a new mid-tower in their lineup. Quite a few months later this case finally received a name which is MasterCase Pro 6. At a first glance it looks like it received a sleek and clean design as well as a modern interior layout.

The MasterCase Pro 6 measures 235 x 548 x 544mm with a net weight of 11Kg and classifies as a mid-tower. The exterior design is very sleek and elegant. The main chassis is made from steel and ABS. The top and the front faceplate share a simple design, while the left side panel features a big window.

On the inside there is space for ATX, micro-ATX or mini-ITX motherboards. Cooling wise there is space for two radiators (280mm) where one can be installed in the front and the other in the top. There is enough space for high-end air coolers coolers as well, allowing the installation of models that measure up to 190mm in height. To optimize the airflow the top as well as the front cover can be popped open allowing fans to pull in fresh air from the sides.

The internal layout is overall simple and straightforward. You can install up to five HDDs or two SSDs. There are also two 5.25" slots to install additional HDDs or ODDs. Like all other models from the MasterCase series, the Pro 6 supports the so called FreeForm Modular System as well allowing you to customize this case to a certain extent.

The entire concept of having plastic covers everywhere makes this case huge although on the inside there is not that much space available. Usually cases with the same dimensions can fit EATX motherboards as well as 360mm radiators. Also the fact that this case features seven slot bezels clearly indicates there is not that much space available on the inside, especially if you consider what it costs.

The MasterCase 6 Pro should already be available and it's listed on Geizhals for 175,00 Euro. At this price it’s actually not really a bargain.
