AMD to show RX Vega at SIGGRAPH 2017

Confirmed

AMD is going to present their upcoming Vega-based graphics cards during the CAPSAICIN SIGGRAPH event on Sunday, July 30. Apart from that, it's still not clear if the company will reveal more details on other upcoming products like Ryzen Threadripper or EPYC. Unlike previous Ryzen or EPYC related events, Capsaicin gatherings are organized by the Radeon Technologies Group.

According to a Twitter post, the company will hold its second 2017 CAPSAICIN SIGGRAPH event in California Sunday, July 30. During the last AMD Capsaicin & Cream event held in March, AMD has shown Radeon Vega and this time they will announce the final product. On Twitter, an AMD employee has confirmed that RX Vega will be shown during the event. Furthermore he mentioned again that the Frontier Edition is not a gaming graphics card and that it’s premature taking conclusions on the gaming performance of Vega.

The event is going to start between 7:30 PM and ends by 8:45 PM PST. So far it’s not been disclosed whether there is going to be a live stream or not. We certainly hope to see a live streaming on Twitch or some similar website. Since we have a final date for RX Vega, we can finally move to another topic. Will there be any custom graphics cards based on RX Vega or will we only see reference models like we did in the case of the Fury X? What do you think?
