EVGA SC17 gaming notebook finally available

4K IPS panel with G-Sync

It looks like EVGA is going to release a new high-end gaming notebook. The company has updated their so called SC17 Gaming Notebook, which comes with a 17-inch, UHD screen with IPS panel. Apart from that the rest of the specifications are pretty interesting as well.

Featuring an UHD display with an IPS panel, which on top of that even supports NVIDIA G-SYNC makes for a compelling combination and allows for smooth gaming. Inside the EVGA SC17 we find a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPU with 8GB of GDDR5X memory. There is also an Intel Core i7-7820HK unlocked CPU, 32GB of G.Skill 2666MHz memory, a 256GB NVMe PCI-e SSD and a 1TB SATA HDD.

Looking at the exterior there is an aluminum unibody giving this notebook sleek looks and making it 1.3 inches (3.3 centimeters) thin. Regarding the connectivity options there are three USB3.0 Type-A ports, one USB3.1 Type-C port and a mini-Jack headphone out.

The EVGA SC17 1080 is available now on EVGA's website for $3'000 US, which definitely puts this notebook in the high-price bracket.
