Deepcool refreshes Captain EX AIO cooler

Now with RGB lighting

In 2014 and 2015, we have reviewed quite a few CPU coolers from Deepcool including its Captain all-in-one series. A few years later Deepcool is giving those products an overhaul. The Captain EX RGB all-in-one cooler offers the same cooling performance as the already available Captain EX products, but comes with a new fan controller and RGB lighting which is compatible with ASUS, Gigabyte and MSI motherboards.

With the Captain 360EX WHITE RGB, Deepcool refreshes the Captain 360EX all-in-ones. Like with the previous generation, Deepcool adds a 360mm radiator to the loop as well as three 120mm fans. The closed-loop cooler is compatible with all modern sockets from AMD (including AM4) and Intel (including LGA2066 and LGA1151). At the moment it isn't compatible with AMD’s socket TR4.

The main differences between the Captain EX and the Captain EX RGB are the RGB LEDs integrated into the water block. The lighting of the Deepcool Captain EX RGB cooler can be controlled using the included wired controller or the motherboard software. In addition Deepcool includes two RGB LED strips inside the package that can be connected to the water block.

The Captain 360EX WHITE RGB from Deepcool will become available next month for $149.99 US.
