MSI adds X370 Gaming M7 ACK

Another high-end AM4 motherboard

The X370 Gaming M7 ACK from MSI is a high-end motherboard that comes with a few interesting features. Compared to X370 XPower Gaming Titanium, the Gaming M7 ACK should be a bit cheaper but still pack a bunch of features. At a first glance the X370 Gaming M7 ACK looks very similar to the Intel Z270 version with the same naming.

Like the Intel model the X370 Gaming M7 ACK is based on an ATX form factor with four DIMM slots. There is RGB backlight underneath the PCH cooler and two out of the three full-sized PCIe slots have been equipped with steel-reinforcements.

In the case of storage connectivity there are six SATA 6 ports and all of them have been angled. Apart from that you get two M.2 slots allowing the installation of differently sized SSDs. The first M.2 slot is placed in the middle of the motherboard while the second one is in the bottom area. Both SSDs can be placed underneath MSI's heatspreader for M.2 SSDs, which meanwhile goes by the name FROZR. The M.2 Shield FROZR is an improved version of the previous model and it's linked to the heatsink on the motherboard.

Like with the more expensive X370 XPower Gaming Titanium there is also a plastic I/O cover, which received RGB lighting. The X370 Gaming M7 ACK is available on Geizhals and it costs around 230 Euro.
