ASUS unveils ROG Strix XG27VQ monitor

With 144 Hz refresh rate

ASUS has updated their gaming monitor lineup with a new curved display which goes by the name ROG Strix XG27VQ. This monitor sports a 27-inch panel with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. Apart from that it has been delayed several times but it should now be finally available.



As we already mentioned the ROG Strix XG27VQ monitor is going to be equipped with a 27-inch panel and 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. On the connector side of things there is one HDMI 1.4 connector, one DisplayPort 1.2 and one DVI-D port. The display is based on an VA panel with 3000:1 contrast ratio and 300 cd/m2 brightness. ASUS is marketing this display as a gaming monitor and it supports AMD FreeSync. The refresh rate is set to 144 Hz and the grey-to-grey response time is 4ms. On top of the specs there is a very well-built thin frame and stand, which allow for pan, tilt, swivel and height adjustment.

The ROG Strix XG27VQ sports ASUS’ Aura RGB behind the screen as well as below the monitor stand. You can choose from several different mode and all the colors you like.

When it comes to prices and availability this monitor is supposed to become available very soon at a price of $349 US.
