Lian Li announces the Alpha 550 case

Featuring RGB fans

If you are looking for a mid-tower case which is compatible with high-end graphics cards, E-ATX motherboard as well as extensive watercooling setup, Lian Li's Alpha 550 enclosure might be just what you've been looking for. The company has released a new case which is compatible with any kind of hardware as well as extensive custom water cooling setups.

The Alpha 550 is a mid-tower chassis that's been made from SECC and tempered glass. On this case the tempered glass is used on all four sides while the main chassis is made out steel, basically the glass panels have been wrapped around a standard steel body. This case remind us the Crystal 570X RGB from Corsair that we have reviewed a few months ago. The Alpha 550 measures 450 x 230 x 546mm and classifies as a mid-tower.

On the inside there is space for E-ATX or ATX motherboards. Cooling wise there is space for one big radiator (360mm) that can be mounted in the front and for another massive radiator (420mm) on the top. In addition there is enough space for high-end tower coolers, which can measure up to 170mm in height. The internal layout is overall simple and straightforward, you can install up to two HDDs or five SSDs. At the front of the case, there are two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 3.1 Type-C port as well as standard HD audio jacks, alongside power and reset switches.

According to Lian Li, the MSRP for this chassis is $239 USD and is going to be available with black or white color.
