Silverstone introduces Essential series PSUs

80 Plus Bronze efficiency rating

Silverstone has introduced its new Essential series of power supply units that will be available with 450W, 550W and 650W of output power. Apart from that, there isn't a modular cable management. The Essential series is supposed to come at a reasonable price and with 3-year warranty plan.

The Silverstone Essential series lineup features a multi +12V rail design with DC-to-DC switching, active PFC, all the usual protections as well as an 80 PLUS Bronze efficiency rating. The lineup will be cooled by a new 120mm bottom placed fan, which should be pretty silent. As mentioned before, these new PSUs will come with 450W, 550W and 650W of output power. They will be equipped with up to two 6+2-pin PCIe power connectors, four SATA power connectors and the standard 24-pin connector. Furthermore there is one 8-pin EPS power cable.

All units will measure 140mm in length therefore complying with the ATX form factor. Nevertheless these units should be fairly well-prices and apart from that the manufacturer mentioned that the units are soon going to be available and backed by a 3-year warranty plan.
