ASRock unveils X299M Extreme 4 motherboard

Featuring mATX form factor

ASRock has revealed the full specifications of its X299M Extreme 4 motherboard. This model belongs to the high-end series and it's recommended for Core i9 processors. This board is quite similar to the X299 Extreme 4, but features a smaller form factor.


On the X299M Extreme 4 there are three full-sized PCIe slots but only two of them comes with steel reinforcements. Furthermore the motherboard sports four DDR4 DIMM and it can support 128GB of memory at speeds that are rated beyond DDR4-4000 (OC).

In the case of storage you'll find eight angled SATA ports and two M.2 slots. ASRock equips the X299M Extreme 4 with one PS/2 port, eight USB 3.0 ports and two USB 3.1 Gen2 ports. Furthermore there are two Gigabit Ethernet ports and the analogue audio panel with optical out.

So far ASRock has not revealed any details on pricing and availability regarding the X299M Extreme 4.
