Swiftech Apogee SKF waterblock sports several thin fins

Compatible with both Intel and AMD worlds

A few months ago, Swiftech launched the SKF Heirloom series as the flagship model in Apogee series of waterblocks. This water block came with a re-worked design both inside and outside. In addition there was possible make significant cosmetic customizations on the top side, on the cover plate and even for the logo. However if you don't care about all those customizations, you will be happy to know that Swiftech has released another SKF water block.

According to Swiftech, the block uses thin fins that are just 125 microns (0.125mm) thick. Due to its design, the Apogee SKF should have excellent thermal performance. Although it lacks of all the external customization options of the Heirloom series, the Apogee SKF will be available in two versions. The basic Apogee SKF is made out black acetal with chrome Swiftech logo, while the Apogee SKF Prestige comes with chrome plated body and silver cover.

The upcoming Apogee SKF is compatible with Intel LGA 115x, LGA 2011, and LGA 2066 CPUs, as well as AMD AM2, AM3, and AM4 sockets out of the box. During the next weeks the company should release a special version compatible with Ryzen Threadripper and TR4 socket. The Apogee SKF is available for $70, while the Apogee SKF Prestige costs $76.
