NVIDIA is trying to meet GPU demand

Still rather hard to do

During the course of the cryptocurrency hype, graphics cards makers have tried to find different strategies in order to contrast the shortage issue. NVIDIA has tried to make some effort towards this, selling some of its stock in the UK but it looks like that the green team is still far away to meet the demand.

As you might know graphics card prices have been a problem over the past year, with a lot of the blame falling on cryptocurrency miners. The shortage of internal components, like memory chips, is also another big problem that affect all the recent graphics cards. Furthermore there are several conspiracy theorists attributing the low stock to the will of GPU makers themselves.

Like AMD, NVIDIA is trying to help its consumer base. First of all, NVIDIA has asked to retailers to limit the amount of graphics cards that a single user can buy. After that, the green team has ramped up its production line in order to meet the demand. The stock that NVIDIA has offered in UK for its MSRP prices has already sold out.

According to NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang
Quote:
We're sold out of many of our high-end SKUs, and so it's a real challenge keeping [graphic cards] in the marketplace for games. - [..] I'm frustrated so many developers and gamers around the world cannot get access to their GeForces

During the last year, NVIDIA has invested a lot of money in G-Sync monitors and other technologies that require GeForce graphics cards, and they are wasted on cryptocurrency miners.
