
Elgato announced the release of their Thunderbolt 3 Mini Dock, which is a rather compact hub which comes with display outputs, USB Type-A port and, Gigabit Ethernet connector. The Thunderbolt 3 Mini Dock is aimed primarily at owners of Apple's latest MacBook Pro laptops who need more ports.
The Thunderbolt 3 Mini Dock is a compact box the size of a pack of cigarettes. It comes with a foldable 12cm cable that can be hidden away really quick when not in use. The dock features an HDMI 2.0 (with HDCP support), a DisplayPort 1.2, a USB 3.1 Gen 1, and a Gigabit Ethernet port. Whether you use a MacBook Pro or Windows ultrabook, the Elgato Thunderbolt 3 Mini Dock offers compatibility.
The Thunderbolt 3 port, is capable of transferring up to 40 Gbps. According to Elgato, the Mini Dock offers full performance on all ports. Therefore it doesn’t matter If you use all ports simultaneously.
Corsair's Elgato Thunderbolt 3 Mini Dock is supposed to hit the market shortly.
