Dell has finally launched its new UltraSharp UP3214Q 32-inch and the UltraSharp UP2414Q Ultra HD monitors as well as announced its newest Dell 28 Ultra HD monitor, the PQ2815Q that will available early next year.


Around US $5,400

Although it was showcased back in July, we still have to see the Dell UltraSharp UP3214Q UHD 4K monitor on retail/e-tail shelves. Thankfully, it already showed up in Hong Kong with a price of HK$41,899, or around US $5,400.


32-incher with Ultra HD resolution

Dell is apparently taking working on a new device, codename Project Ophelia, that will be a flash-drive size USB device running on Android OS and that will turn any HDTV into a smart device.


Down to US $300

As rumored earlier and quite expected considering poor sales of the Windows RT tablets, Dell has slashed the price of its XPS 10 Windows RT tablet by no less that US $200, bringing it down to more reasonable US $300.

Neben Desktop-System, Notebooks und Servern ist Dell auch bekannt für hochwertige Displays. Die neuen U3014, U2713H und U2414 Monitore sind mit qualitativ hochwertigen Panelen ausgestattet und sollen eine überzeugendes Userexperience bieten.


Die Dell Inc. hat offiziell bekannt gegeben, dass man einen Vertrag unterschrieben habe, der besagt, dass Michael Dell, der Gründer von Dell und derzeitige Vorstandsvorsitzende sowie Geschäftsführer, zusammen mit dem Investment Unternehmen Silver Lake, Dell übernehmen werden.


Bereits seit einigen Wochen kursieren die Grüchte, dass der PC-Hersteller Dell nach einem Weg sucht wieder ein privat geführtes Unternehmen zu werden. Derzeit sieht es so aus, als hätte Microsoft Interesse daran Dell zu übernehmen. Aktuell gibt es weder von Microsoft noch von Dell ein Statement, allem Anschein nach soll derzeit aber über eine Summe von 2 Milliarden US-Dollar gesprochen werden.


Dell glänzt derzeit nicht mit exorbitanten Absatzzahlen und auch die Marktanteile sanken in den vergangenen Jahren stetig. Mittlerweile findet man sich mit zehn Prozent auf Platz drei hinter Lenovo und HP wieder. Nun scheint sich eine Übernahme von Dell durch zwei Gruppen von Finanzinvestoren anzubahnen.


Dell stellt anlässlich der CES seine neuen Latitude 10 Essentials Tablets vor. Beim Latitude 10 Essentials soll es sich um das erste Windows 8 Tablet handeln, das "enterprise-ready" sei und für weniger als 500 US-Dollar erhältlich ist.
