Special variant

ASUS has unveiled their ROG Strix GTX 1080 Ti Assassin's Creed Origins Edition graphics card, which is based on the flagship chip from NVIDIA. This card sports a brown and gold shroud paired with a backplate that has been decorated with hieroglyphs.

Featuring dual LGA3647 sockets

Following the launch of the WS X299 PRO, ASUS has revealed the full specifications of its WS C621E SAGE motherboard. This model is compatible with Intel Xeon processors and according to ASUS it should offer "overclocking" feature. The overclocking feature on dual socket Xeon motherboards is very uncommon, however at this time is still unclear how this feature will work.

Designed for workstations

ASUS has revealed the full specifications of its WS X299 Pro motherboard. This model belongs to the high-end series and it's recommended for Core i9 processors. This board is designed for high-end desktops and workstations. Like the previous model base on Intel X99 chipset, the upcoming WS X299 Pro sports the company's highest-grade eletrical components.

Entry-level micro-ATX motherboard

The Expedition A320M Gaming from ASUS is an entry-level motherboard that comes with a few interesting features. According to ASUS, this motherboard is designed for iCafe and eSports Bar. The Expedition A320M offers all the essential connectivity needed for a gaming rig.

ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 1070 Ti and TURBO

Just a few days ago we have seen the first rumors about the upcoming NVIDIA GTX 1070 Ti custom and it looks like that ASUS will add one custom card as well. Current rumors suggest that the GTX 1070 Ti will be available as a reference as well as custom graphics card. ASUS will release two models, the ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 1070 Ti which should be the new high-end model and the GTX 1070 Ti TURBO that is a more budget-oriented graphics card.

X370 and B350 chipset

ASUS has been the first manufacturer to come up with AMD AM4 300-series motherboards. Already a few weeks ago, we have seen first details on upcoming mini-ITX models, which are based on AMDs AM4 chipset. Meanwhile, there are finally more details on the ROG Strix X370-I and B350-I motherboards.

With 144 Hz refresh rate

ASUS has updated their gaming monitor lineup with a new curved display which goes by the name ROG Strix XG27VQ. This monitor sports a 27-inch panel with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. Apart from that it has been delayed several times but it should now be finally available.

Two rather similar boards

During the past few days we have covered most of ASUS' motherboards, which are compatible with Intel's latest CPUs. Apparently the company has still a couple of motherboards that will be available soon like the Maximus X Formula and the Maximus X Code. Both models are near-identical, the Formula features liquid-cooling while the Code doesn't.

Almost identical to the previous version

Looking at the Z370 lineup from ASUS not much has changed compared to their Z270 offerings. Once again we find ROG, STRIX Gaming, Prime and TUF series motherboards. Compared to the Maximus IX Hero the latest Maximus X Hero sports a few little differences: the first one regards the M.2 heat sink which is finally included in the bundle of the motherboard, and the second one is the back I/O panel that has been "glued" to the ports.

With Core i7-8700K processor

Meanwhile Intel has finally launched their 8th Gen Coffee Lake processors alongside the Z370 platform. For overclockers this means they can get their hands on a bunch of new hardware, which always something exciting. Overclocker "der8auer" has already posted a max CPU-Z score showing a Core i7-8700K running at 7.3 GHz using the ROG Maximus X Apex motherboard, and the overclocker "Hocayu" managed to set a new DDR4 memory record using the same board.

Designed for extreme overclockers

Looking at the Z370 line-up from ASUS not much has changed compared to their Z270 line-up. There is still the "Code" as well as the “Apex”, which specifically targets extreme overclockers. As it was with the Maximus IX Apex in the beginning, it’s still unclear if this board is actually going to be available to the public or not, since when other vendors launched motherboards, which were basically only made for extreme overclocking it was more of a marketing stunt.

Compatible with up to four M.2 SSDs

ASUS has released its Hyper M.2 x16 PCIe add-in-card, which is a daughter-board that can be equipped with four M.2 SSDs. We have already seen this card in many pictures and videos lately and now it’s finally available. This is a VROC (Virtual RAID on CPU) card and it can be used in VROC modes on compatible motherboards.

Revealed by e-tailer

The Swedish online e-tailer Inet has listed an unannounced ASUS motherboard, which goes by the name ROG Strix B350-I Gaming. This motherboard looks like a downsized version of the ROG Strix B350-F Gaming but it also sports features that can be found on high-end motherboards. For example there is a SupremeFX audio chip as well as the same M.2 heatsink that we can find on the ROG Strix Z270I Gaming.

Up to 45%

The current year has been a great one for motherboard manufacturers since both Intel and AMD have released new platforms. Intel for that matter has released their 200-series and X299 motherboards, while AMD has shown AM4 and TR4 based platforms. For the consumers there is now a lot of different products to choose from.

Up to 165 Hz refresh rate

ASUS has updated their gaming monitor lineup with a new curved display which goes by the name Swift PG27VQ. This monitor sports a 27-inch panel with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. Meanwhile ASUS should also release the ROG Swift PG27UQ monitor that has been delayed several times.

The ROG STRIX X299-E but upgraded

The ASUS ROG STRIX X299-XE Gaming is another Intel X299 motherboard that should help filling in gaps in the ASUS X299 lineup. The name of this particular board already suggests that’s it’s been designed with the upcoming Intel Core i9-7980XE processor in mind. Therefore it looks like ASUS updated/reworked the CPU VRM heatsink, making use of a heavier block. This way the VRMs should not cause thermal throttling issues. Besides that, the motherboard is 99% identical to the X299-E.

Leaked on Reddit

Although we are still waiting for a mini-ITX AMD motherboard from ASUS, the company is already working on a model with this form factor for their upcoming Intel Coffee Lake processors. The upcoming ROG STRIX Z370I Gaming looks almost identical to its Z270 counterpart.

With built-in wireless charging

During the IFA 2017, ASUS has expanded its curved monitor lineup with the MX38VC and MX32VQ monitors which feature a 37.5-inch and 31.5" panel respectively. While the first comes with 3840 x 1600 resolution at a 21:9 aspect ratio, the second sports 2560 x 1440 resolution at a 16:9 aspect ratio. Furthermore the solid base comes with a built-in Qi wireless charging pad with a max output of 5W/1A.

Featuring a black and yellow color scheme

The TUF B350M-Plus Gaming from ASUS is a mid-range motherboard that comes with a few interesting features. Compared to the Prime B350M-Plus, which ASUS unveiled a few months ago, the new model belongs to a higher-end series and packs a few more goodies. Like the name suggests, this new model is based on a micro-ATX form factor.

Cryptocurrency mining is having a weird effect

Over the past 15 years that I’ve been running ocaholic I’ve come across quite a few weird products but a board with 20 - I repeat twenty - expansion slots that is definitely very high up on that list, if not at the very top. Well what to say but that’s exactly what ASUS has come up with.
