Inside upcoming XPS 13 ultrabooks

It looks like that a refreshed Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 is on the way. The company has shown a convertible with both 7th Gen Intel Y-series processors and 8th Gen Intel Y-series "Amber Lake" CPUs. Intel has announced these CPUs during Computex 2018 however at the moment there isn't any technical details.

The last iteration of the ultra-thin XPS notebook from Dell has been released about a year ago, while there has been a refresh on a yearly basis. According to the latest informations, the new Dell XPS 15 features Kaby Lake-G CPUs with Radeon RX Vega M graphics.

With Visor HMD

Dell announced its own version of a virtual reality head mounted display (VR HMD) during IFA. The Dell Visor features two 1440 x 1440 LCD panels (for a total resolution of 2880 x 1440) that can be flipped up to let you see the real world around you without having to remove the headset. According to Dell, the VR is comfortable to wear even with glasses.

According to Dell the display covers 99 percent of the Adobe RGB and sRGB color spectrum and a few other color standards.

Dell has expanded its UltraSharp series with a 27-inch model that features and 3840 x 2160 UHD resolution. Furthermore the monitor comes with a KVM switch and an USB Type-C port. According to Dell the display covers 99 percent of the Adobe RGB and sRGB color spectrum and a few other color standards.

4K OLED panel

Dell has expanded its monitor lineup with a new model which features a 30-inch panel with 3840 x 2160 resolution and an OLED panel. According to Dell the display covers 100 percent of the Adobe RGB, sRGB and Rec709 color spectrum and a few other color standards.


Price set to 5000 dollars

Dell announced the S2718D monitor which features a 27-inch panel with 2560 x 1440 resolution and 108 PPI. Apart from that Dell states that the panel used covers 99% of the sRGB profile. Apart from that the new display supports HDR10. The display features a glossy panel with ultra-thin bezels.


With optional GTX 1050
