Ventilation options

The Define S2 offers plenty of places for fans to be installed. Included in the delivery you will find three black 140mm fans, while there is space for a total of three 140mm or 120mm fans in the front and in the top and one 140mm or 120mm at the rear and. Furthermore there are two additional slots in the bottom area, which - in theory - could be equipped with up to two 140mm fans.

Also in the case of water cooling compatibility there are plenty of options. The Define S2 can be equipped with a 420mm radiator in the top and a 360mm radiator in the front. The bottom takes another 280mm rad and the back could be provided with yet another 120/140mm radiator. Overall the Define S2 is definitely a case that can be used for custom water cooling loops.

Last but definitely not least we want to mention the fan controller, which the manufacturer positioned on the backside of the motherboard tray. In total six 3-pin and three 4-pin fans can be connected, whereas the fan controller receives it's inputs from the motherboards PWM signal through a separate cable.
