With the Silent 12PWM Gelid shows us a 120 mm fan that should be quiet. Furthermore you get power management functionality that automatically regulates the fan speed according to the system temperature. The second fan Gelid Solutions provided us with to test is the Wing 12. The sample we got comes with blue rotor blades. The really tricky bit about the Wing 12 is its new bearing technolgy which we will present further on.
Gelid Solutions has its headquarters in Hong Kong and the management is partially Swiss. Since 2008 they produce heatpipe based cooling solutions as well as fans. Their goal is to combine quality and imagination ending up in best-in-class products for computer enthusiasts.
On the following pages we will show you what the Gelid Silent 12 PWM and the Gelid Wing 12 are capable of in combination with a Noctua NH-U12P CPU cooler.
