The interior is simple and clean, and it features a most classic design with some features that are worth mentioning. Cooler Master decided to use a PSU cover to visually separate the cable area from the motherboard; it is not the first time that we find this change in a case and in our opinion, this system allows for cleaner cable management. The MasterBox Lite 5 is a compact gaming grade case for those who don't want to spend too much money on a chassis. Nevertheless you can equip this case with two 3.5" HDDs and one 2.5" drive, whereas all of them can be installed on tool-less sledges.

The motherboard tray is made out of solid steel, and it features a large opening behind the socket, which allows the installation of aftermarket CPU coolers without taking the motherboard out. The tray features a number of openings to create a neat cable management. Since the MasterBox Lite 5 is a budget-oriented case, it doesn't come with a vast number of features like for example rubber grommets. Between the motherboard tray and the right side panel there is enough space to hide plenty of cables. The MasterBox Lite 5 is compatible with ATX motherboards and it's also compatible with 240 or 360mm radiators.

For our test we've used an ATX motherboard and a closed loop water cooler from Cooler Master with 120mm radiator. As you can see from the pictures there are plenty of slots for the fans and radiators. The MasterBox Lite 5 is able to accommodate a CPU cooler with a maximum height of 160mm and graphics cards can measure up to 400mm in length. In other words you can install any graphics card without checking the space available.
