At a first glance it looks like In Win has created a smaller and improved version of the 101c that we have reviewed a few months ago. Although this case comes with pre-installed PSU, there is still a lot of space available since the part next to the motherboard looks like almost empty. Nevertheless there are a few things we’d like to mention. As we already pointed out, this case is compatible with mini-ITX motherboards and considering this there are only two 2.5" HDD slots. We believe that the amount of supports are more than ok. Furthermore, if you need more space, you can install a M.2 SSD directly on the motherboard if compatible.

The motherboard comes with the usual large opening behind the CPU socket, which allows you to install aftermarket coolers without having to remove the motherboard. Apart from that the tray has a few small openings for routing cables. The arrangement of the internal components is completely different from any other case. Inside the A1 the power supply is placed in the top, similar to cases from a few years ago. Right next to the PSU there is space for cable management and the motherboard. For our test, we used a system based on a MSI mini-ITX motherboard paired with a Noctua low profile cooler. Putting the setup inside the A1 is quite simple and straight forward.
