Closer Look
Having a first look at the Razer Mamba quickly shows that this is a well and ergonomically designed gaming mouse. The shape and the arrangement of the buttons make the mouse asymmetrical, so right-handed gamers can use this mouse. Other than that, the Razer Mamba features a very grippy surface with a black matte finish. The materials used are of excellent quality, and even the rugged surface is well made and very comfortable. On the left side, there are two buttons to operate with your thumb. The wheel, which is made of plastic and covered almost entirely with rubber, is big, strong and provides excellent grip as well as good tactile feedback. Positioned behind the mouse wheel there are two buttons for the control of DPI as well as a small backlit Razer logo. The charging station is solid and without any particular features, on the rear part we find the housing for the USB cable and the base has been backlit with RGB LEDs.

Razer decided to equip the Mamba with the new Philips Twin Eye PLN-2034 sensor. The maximum resolution is 16000 DPI, which is more than enough for any kind of gamer. The laser sensor is placed at the center. Should be looking for a weight system, then you'll be disappointed, since this gaming mouse does not come with this type of customization. The sensor operates with two differents laser, where one is taking care of each axis. During the test we used this rodent with a selection of different mousepads and only with cloth pad we noticed some small issue with the tracking. In additiont to the sensor we find the power button, three large glide pads made from teflon and two torx screws to change the sensitivity actuation force. With these screws you will be able to change the force of the two main buttons placed on top, the left and the right one.
