With the Hydro H100i PRO RGB, Corsair adds another all-in-one watercooler with 240mm radiator in its portfolio. In this case you can get an AiO with 240 millimeter aluminium radiator and two PWM fans for 119 Euro. Furthermore there is the same pump block that we have seen on the 360mm version. We're more than just curious to see if Corsair is capable of convincing with this new cooler.
Today we have the pleasure to check out Corsair's Hydro H100i PRO RGB liquid cooling system, which, according to Corsair, should be compatible even with medium size cases and tighter spaces thanks to its 276 mm tall and 27 mm thick 240 mm radiator. Apart from that there are kink-resistant tubes, which allow for routing within smaller cases and tighter spaces. Overall this cooler is well made and it looks nice and clean. The most unique feature about it is probably the RGB lightning of the pump which is customizable via Corsair LINK software. The build quality is also on a really high level. The bundle includes two 120 mm PWM fans with gray wings and black frame. Mounting system supports most, if not all, recent Intel and AMD socket CPUs.
The Hydro H100i PRO RGB is actually Corsair's new liquid cooler designed and manufactured by Asetek OEM.
As you can see from the picture, manufacturing quality of the Hydro H100i PRO RGB is on the level it should be. It's not exceptional but still on good level for a 119 Euro all-in-one cooler. The radiator measures 276 x 27 mm and is made from aluminium. The cooler itself features a copper coldplate with pre-applied thermal compound. To be a bit more precise the dimensions of the Hydro H100i PRO RGB are 276 x 120 mm x 27mm (W x L x H). The fans also come with a new design that works well with the rest of the Hydro H100i PRO RGB AiO cooler. Corsair decided to pair the Hydro H100i PRO RGB with two 120x25mm ML fans with seven blades.

The packaging is quite standard for an all-in-one water cooling system. Alongside the AiO unit you receive two fans, a manual and mounting kits. Corsair bundles the Hydro H100i PRO RGB with two mounting kits, one for AMD and one for Intel-based systems, as well as a backplate is used for Intel sockets. The Corsair Hydro H100i PRO RGB is only with the old Intel socket LGA775 not compatible. If anything should break down with the Hydro H100i PRO RGB AiO water cooler you get a warranty that covers such events for a whopping five years.

Installation
The installation procedure is quite easy and practical. It is pretty much self explanatory and everything is clearly explained in the manual, so it should not be a problem even for less experienced users. The design is not completely tool less as you will still need a screwdriver in order to mount the fans and the waterblock. The pressure on the CPU is good and since the base/pump unit comes with a low profile design, there shouldn't be any clearance issues as even tubing can be moved in any direction without the need to worry out blockage or leaking.

To measure
the cooling capacity we took temperatures in idle and load
with the fans at 7 and 12 V. The idle temperature represents the lowest
temperature hit by the processor package after 10 minutes in idle. The load temperature is
the highest temperature hit by the processor after one pass of wPrime v2.10. The
wPrime test takes 4 minutes and puts load on all 8 threads.
Room temperature is
at 25°C.

Decibel meter (Voltcraft SL-200) has been placed 1 meter away from the
cooler. Measurements are conducted in a quiet room, where there are no other noise source. 32 dBA is the lowest
we can get in our room. Also here
the measurements are conducted at 7 and 12 V.

At this point we plugged the fan(s) to the motherboard CPU fan header and let the
motherboard take care of fan speeds. In other words the motherboard will
adjust the fan speed via PWM signal according to CPU temperature. The idle
temperature is the lowest temperature hit by the processor after 10
minutes
in idle. The load temperature is the highest temperature hit by the
processor after one pass of wPrime v2.10. The
wPrime test takes 4 minutes puts load on all 8 threads.
Room temperature is 25°C.

Decibel meter (Voltcraft SL-200) has been placed 1 meter away from the

The 32 dBA measurement is the lowest
we were able to get in our room. Also here
the measurements are conducted at lowest and highest fan speeds in idle and
under load, respectively.

Conclusion

With the Hydro H100i PRO RGB, Corsair adds another 240mm AiO cooler. We like the fact that Corsair has included some RGB LEDs on the waterblock, in this way you can customize your cooler and create a proper color scheme. In other words this cooler is suitable for almost any build. Cooling performance in combination with the two 120mm PWM fans included in delivery is very good. Furthermore we also like the Zero-RPM mode that allows to turn off the fans.

Installation |

The installation is simple and pretty straightforward. With two included
mounting kits, where one is for Intel and another for AMD sockets, it should be quite easy even for less technical users
to mount the cooler properly in a heartbeat. The only - very minor - drawback that we could find is that it is unfortunately not compatible with LGA 775 socket. The thermal paste is pre-applied and although we would like to see it included in the box, this makes the installation
even easier for an average user. |

The Corsair Hydro H100i PRO RGB features good cooling performance in every scenario, including 7V and 12V as well as the PWM mode. We tested the Hydro H100i PRO RGB with our fan controller which we use for all reviews. With the fans sets to 7V and 12V, the Hydro H100i PRO RGB managed 7th place regarding load temperatures. Using the PWM mode the H100i PRO RGB again reaches the first part of our chart. |

Noise Levels |

The pump on the Corsair Hydro H100i PRO RGB is not inaudible but in order to hear it you have to move close to it with you ear. If you have the watercooler in a closed case you definitely won't hear it. While using two fans at 7V, the Hydro H100i PRO RGB is subjectively very silent hitting 34.4 dBA. At 12V, we measured 40.9 dBA, which is actually a bit noisy. When testing the cooler in PWM mode, noise levels do not go past 37 dBA, which is still a bit audible. |

Checking Geizhals.eu we find the Hydro H100i PRO RGB listed for 119 Euro, which is actually a rather good price. The build quality is on a good level as well as the bundle. Overall this is a good all-in-one watercooler that offers great cooling performance and RGB capabilities. Corsair is offering also a version based on 360mm radiator that we have reviewed previously. If you have enough space in your case and the price isn't an issue for you, we suggest to check that cooler as well. |
