EVGA Precision X causes ugly discussions

Is it a copy of RivaTuner?

Unwinder, the original coder behind RivaTuner, publically thinks that the latest version of Precision X from EVGA is a copy of his old software RivaTuner. Since a week Unwinder is publically discussing this topic displaying some anger.

Last week EVGA have launched the latest version of their handy Precision X Software. The 15th anniversary edition of Precision X is actually version 5.0 and like the predecessors, it lets you change voltages and clock speeds of graphics cards.

The coder of RivaTuner, Unwinder, analysed the source code and he says that there are parts that have simply been copied and pasted from RivaTuner. This is what he's actually discussing in public and it really doesn't make EVGA stand in good light.

So far, there has been no word from EVGA on the topic, but the Software has been pulled from Steam and there will be some changes on RTTSH.dll and a translation file. Especially the latter contains some interesting bits, since there will be a part mentioning that RivaTuner guidelines will be accepted. Is that a coincidence: What do you think, yes or no?
