ASUS announces new Strix gaming peripherals

Headset, mouse, keyboard and mouse pads

ASUS has unveiled a couple of new gaming peripherals that will be a part of its recently introduced Strix gaming lineup, including the Strix DSP, a gaming headset with audio station, Strix Claw optical gaming mouse, Strix Tactic Pro mechanical gaming keyboard as well as Strix Glide Control and Gilde Speed gaming mouse pads.

The new Strix gaming peripherals lineup starts off with the Strix DSP gaming headset, a multi-platform gaming headset with 60mm neodymium-magnet drivers, full-size 130mm wide hexagonal ear cushions as well as a driver-free plug-and-play audio station with native 7.1-channel surround sound audio. As this is the multi-platform gaming headset, the Strix DSP will be compatible with PC and Mac systems as well as Playstation 4 and probably Xbox One consoles.

The Strix Claw optical gaming mouse is aimed at hardcore FPS games and, according to ASUS, is crafted for those demanding precision, complete comfort and the competitive advantage. It features a right-handed design which although perfect for all grip styles, is especially aimed at those that use fingertip or claw-style grips. It features the Pixart PMW3310DH-AWQT 5000dpi sensor, with adjustments by 50 DPI increments. It features a total of eight buttons with Japanese-made Omron D2F-01F switches. Three out of eight buttons are fully programmable for mouse commands or macros while the DPI clutch button allows you to reduce DPI instantly for sniper shooting action. The Strix Claw also feature 64KB of built-in memory so you can carry your profiles to any LAN party.

The Strix Tactic Pro mechanical gaming keyboard looks like a proper gaming keyboard with mechanical Cherry MX Black, Blue, Brown and Red switches. It also comes with highest specification N-Key Rollover (NKRO) technology over USB to ensure that every key press is registered, regardless of how many keys are held down at once and has 13 dedicated macro keys as well as an option to reassign F1-F8 as macro keys for a total of 21 customizable keys.

The Strix Glide Control and Strix Glide Speed gaming mouse pads are high quality mouse pads aimed for different game styles. The Strix Glide Control features heavy-weave fabric with textured surface ensuring maximum control while the Strix Glide Speed has a fine-weave finish offering much faster movement.

Unfortunately, ASUS did not reveal any details regarding the pricing or the availability date for any of the new Strix series peripherals but we are sure these will show up in retail/e-tail pretty soon so we will know a bit more about them.
