ASUS teases its own smartwatch

Will show it at IFA 2014

ASUS has teased what appears to be a smartwatch, or precisely, a square silhouette which is most likely ASUS' vision for a smartwatch. ASUS plans to unveil the new device at IFA 2014 show in Berlin on September 3rd.

The device was teased in a press invite which was later posted at Twitter. The invitation includes a quote from Lebanese poet Khalil Gibran, "Time has been transformed, and we have changed."

There have already been a couple of rumors regarding ASUS' smartwatch and some of those suggest that ASUS will try to beat Samsung, Motorola and LG in terms of pricing. According to those same rumors, ASUS' smartwatch should launch at anywhere between US $99 and US $149, feature AMOLED screen and, of course, run on Android Wear platform.

ASUS will most likely have plethora of new products to show during IFA 2014 and some rumors suggest we will see some new tablets, new Padfone, and even a new hybrid tablet/laptop.

In any case, ASUS will certainly be a company that we will keep an eye on during IFA 2014.
