New layoffs by Microsoft

2100 more

Following the recent acquisition of Nokia by Microsoft, the Redmond giant announced a staff reduction by a factor of 14%: today, this decision means 2100 more layoffs.

When a company like Microsoft announces a 14% layoff of its staff, you should know we are talking about 18.000 people. Since the acquisition, 13.000 already lose their jobs, the most part coming from Nokia itself.

Today 2100 more people are losing their jobs, 747 directly from Microsoft Washington, while the others are from al lover the world. Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella, noted that this was the only way to keep Microsoft a dynamic company, to react quickly to its market needs.

Recently, Microsoft bought Minecraft, to further diversify its portfolio between hardware and software products, but unfortunately to do this, many people might lose their jobs. This layoff streak is not over yet, and by the end of the year 2900 people will lose their positions.
