GELID launches new Tranquillo rev. 3 CPU cooler

Improved version of well known Tranquillo CPU cooler

GELID Solutions has unveiled the latest and improved rev 3. version of its quite popular Tranquillo CPU cooler. As a part of GELID's Silent lineup, the Tranquillo is mostly focused on providing the best possible cooling at lowest possible noise.

According to GELID, the new Tranquillo has been improved in several aspects and although it still uses a four power heatpipe design with a unique heatpipe constellation that will provide identical high cooling performance as its predecessor, the new Tranquillo has been further optimized to prevent potential conflicts from components on latest set of motherboards. It also comes with the new AMD clip that allows the cooler to be mounted in four directions (4x90°) as well as an ability to mount a second fan for push-pull cooling scenario.

GELID has paired up the new Tranquillo rev. 3 CPU Cooler with a silent 120mm GELID PWM fan which now comes without any clicking noise caused by the PWM IC in the previous fan. The fan blades are now optimized and the fan has a minimum 1000 rpm rotation which allows a much higher airflow.

The Tranquillo rev. 3 also comes bundled with GELID's GC-2 thermal compound and is compatible with AMD AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, FM1, FM2 as well as Intel 775, 1366 and latest 1155 and 1156 sockets and features backplates for Intel LGA 775, Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 CPUs.

GELID's new Tranquillo rev. 3 CPU cooler is backed by a 5 year warranty and should be already available with a price set at US $39/€29.
