EA Access to surpass expectations

More subscriptions sold than they thought

Back in August, EA launched their new EA Access subscription program, which is only available on Xbox One so far. With the EA Access, you can basically pay a certain amount of money per month to EA and in return you can play a selection of games as well as get early access to some new game titles.

During the latest investor conference, Peter Moore, Chief Operating Officer at EA, was very pleased about the number of subscriptions for the EA Access. Moore added that the number of memberships sold exceeded EA's expectations by quite a bit. For the upcoming months, Moore is expecting additional growth in this segment.

Judging by their internal statistics it appears that subscribers to EA Access are highly likely to play FIFA or Madden although they have never bought the game before. Keeping in mind, that EA Access subscription only costs US $4.99 per month, then it is actually a really good deal.

So far we are curious to see whether EA is planning on expanding the EA Access to other platforms too or if they are going to stick with the Xbox One for the time being.
