IKEA working on furniture with wireless charging

Showing that Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 is not all about high-end devices, IKEA has rather surprised everyone by announced that it will soon bring furniture with wireless charging support.

According to IKEA, there will be plenty of things to choose from including nightstands, lamps, desks which will have a Qi-compatible chargers. While supporting one of the most popular wireless charging standards, most of devices that currently support wireless charging will work on new IKEA furniture.

Those that are already using IKEA's furniture will be happy to know that the company is also preparing upgrade charging kits that will allow you to add wireless charging to your favorite furniture and these will sell for US $34, while furniture with wireless charging will be around US $22 more expensive.
