HTC One M9 and Samsung Galaxy S6/S6 Edge listed

HTC One M9 more expensive than Galaxy S6

While both HTC and Samsung have just announced their new flagship smartphone for this year, the HTC One M9 and Samsung's Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, which will not be yet available, we now have a couple of first listings showing the price of these smartphones in Europe.

According to listings, HTC's One M9 will be priced at around €749, and it is already listed in some of the major retailers in DACH region, including Saturn, Notebookbilliger.de, MediaMarkt and Redcoon.de. While it has earlier showed up listed in the US for US $649, we certainly hoped that we would see a similar price in Europe.

Both Samsung's earlier announced new flagship smartphones, Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, have been also listed in Europe. The 32GB version of the Galaxy S6 is listed at €699 while the Galaxy S6 Edge has a much heftier €849 price tag.

Bear in mind that these are early listing prices since neither phone is yet available but if these prices are what we will see when they are available, we are not sure how HTC will justify the higher price. Although it has a full aluminum unibody design, Samsung's Galaxy S6 is not a plastic smartphone anymore and comes with much better specifications.

Of course, it all comes down to reviews and general performance and we are yet to see those as HTC One M9 is expected to be available in mid-March while Samsung's Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are coming in April.
