Fractal Design announces Venturi Series fans

High Flow and High Pressure fans

Fractal Design has unveiled its new Venturi Series fans which will be available in two versions, Venturi High Flow and Venturi High Pressure, designed for different scenarios and usage.

Both the Venturi High Flow and the High Pressure fans will be available in 120mm and 140mm versions and built-in rubber vibration dampening corners as well as top quality electronics and materials.

The Venturi High Flow Series fans, the HF-12 and the HF-14, are optimized for low-restriction airflow environments, making them suitable for case fans, and should be able to move an amazing mount of air at minimal noise levels, according to Fractal Design. These feature FDB-bearings, counter-balancing magnet in the hub that reduces the axial tension on the bearing, dense and sturdy construction with high-grade glass fiber reinforce thermoplastic, aerodynamically shaped thin stator struts, notches on the blades near the fan hub, low-speed adapter and aforementioned vibration dampening corners.

When it comes to numbers, the HF-12 has nine blades and spins up at 1400 RPM, providing maximum airflow of 141.7 m/h with maximum noise of 25.3dBA. The larger HF-14 has 11 blades, spins up to 1200 RPM, provides maximum airflow of 200.8 m/h and produces maximum noise of 26.5dBA.

The Venturi High Pressure Series PWM fans, HP-12 and HP-14, are optimized for high-restriction airflow scenarios, making them suitable for heatsinks and radiators, and packs quite a few performance-increasing and noise-reducing features.

Also available in two sizes, 120mm and 140mm, these fans also feature FDB-bearings, counter-pull magnet and pretty much all the features that Venturi High Flow fans have as well as 1->2 PWM signal splitter wire and lower number of blades.

The HP-12 PWM thus comes with a 4-pin PWM connector, has seven blades, spins up to 1800 RPM, provides maximum airflow of 104.3 m/h and produces maximum noise of 31.7dBA. The HP-14 PWM also has 7 blades, spins up to 1500 RPM, provides maximum airflow of 132.7 m/h and produces maximum noise of 30.1 dBA.

The entire new Venturi series comes with a MTBF of 150,000 hours and should be soon available on retail/e-tail shelves.
