Intel adds 56GB version to SSD 535 Series lineup

In a 2.5-inch 7mm-thick form-factor

Intel has added yet another model to its Intel SSD 535 Series lineup, the 56GB capacity model.

Targeting market segments that require low-density storage, like ATMs, Kiosks/Point of Sale, mini PCs, Terminals, Digital Signage and IoT devices, the new 56GB version of the Intel 535 SSD will use the 2.5-inch 7mm-thick form factor and feature SATA interface.

As you probably already know, Intel's SSD 535 Series is available in both 2.5-inch and M.2 (80mm) form-factors, ranging from 120GB to 360GB on the M.2 and up to 480GB on the 2.5-inch form-factor.

The new Intel 56GB SSD 535 Series version will feature the same sequential performance as the rest of the lineup, featuring up to 540MB/s read and up to 490MB/s write performance with 4K random performance of up to 48k IOPS for read and up to 80k IOPS write.

The suggested retail price is set at US $59 and the new drive should be available immediately.
