Nvidia officially confirms its May 6 event

GTX 1080/1070 announcements and maybe more

Although we already knew about it, Nvidia has now confirmed that it will hold a "special event" on May 6th.

The event will definitely be focused on Nvidia's 16nm FinFET Pascal GPU architecture and we expect to see both the Geforce GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 graphics cards.

Of course, Nvidia could still surprise us and even announce a couple of other products, possibly the mobile Geforce 1000M series, which will also be based on some variant of the GP104 Pascal GPU.

We have already talked about a mystery third desktop SKU based on GP104-150 GPU, which could end up to be the Geforce GTX 1060 (Ti).

In any case we will know for sure tomorrow at 6 PM PST, which is around 3:00 AM (depending on the time-zone) in case you are coming from Europe.

The earlier unveiled teaser at the Orderof10 website will reach zero before the event starts so we might see a teaser or two before the actual event which will also be streamed live via Nvidia Twitch.
