Aerocool's previously announced XPredator line of high-end power supply units (PSUs) is now officially available.

Coming in two versions, 1000W XPredator 1000GM and the 750W XPredator 750GM, the new Aerocool XPredator PSU series features 80Plus Gold efficiency rating, single +12V rail design with DC-DC switching and a semi-modular design. Both versions are cooled by a 14cm fan with max 2100RPM speed and optimized under 1000RPM fan curve before 60 percent load.

The 1000W XPredator 1000GM version pumps out 83A of current on its +12V rail so it does not come as a surprise that it features eight 6+2-pin PCI-Express power connectors. The 750W model is slightly different with four PCIe power connectors and 62A on the +12V rail.

Both units come with all the usual protections, support for Intel's latest C6/C7 power saving modes and black flat modular cables.

Bear in mind that Aerocool's XPredator PSU series was already available in versions ranging from 500W to 700W and in both modular and non-modular as well as 80Plus Gold and 80Plus Bronze versions.

The 1000W XPredator 1000GM model is priced at US $169.99 while the 750W XPredator 750GM goes for US $109.99.
