Patriot announces new Ignite 2TB SSD

Now comes in 2TB capacity version

Launched back at CES 2015 show in capacities of 480GB and 960GB, and later expanded with the 240GB model, Patriot has now announced a new addition to its Ignite SSD lineup, the 2TB model.

Based on the same Phison S10 controller, the 2TB version of the Ignite SSD hits sequential performance of up to 560MB/s for read and up to 500MB/s for write. It is still based on the same and standard 2.5-inch form-factor with SATA 6Gbps interface.

Backed by a 3-year warranty, the new 2TB Ignite SSD should be a decent choice if you are looking an affordable but still high-capacity replacement for a hard-drive.

Unfortunately, Patriot did not reveal any details regarding the price but did note that the 2TB version of Ignite SSD will be coming in Q4 2016.
