Intel's Core i3-7350K could be next OC monster

Entry-level Kaby Lake for overclocking

According to the latest report, Intel is preparing a budget-oriented Core i3 Kaby Lake chip that will be aimed at overclockers, the Core i3-7350K.

A leaked price of US $177 suggest that the Core i3-7350K could hit the market anywhere from US $150 to $180, offering impressive performance for its price, especially since it is meant for overclocking.

According to details, the Core i3-7350K is a dual-core chip with Hyper-Threading support, working at 4.0GHz base and 4.2GHz Turbo clocks. It also packs 4MB of L3 cache and has a TDP of 91W, same as Core i5 and Core i7 chips.

With such high base and Turbo clocks, it is left to be seen how much overclocking potential is left in such a chip but with decent cooling, especially LN2, this could end up as the next favorite chip for extreme overclockers.

Hopefully, we will hear more about this chip before it officially launches sometime in January next year.
