Enermax announces two new SFX power supplies

More SFX PSUs to hit market

Due to the fact that small form factor products are becoming increasingly popular it makes perfect sense that power supply makers start adding additional SFX units to their portfolio. A few weeks ago Enermax announced their Steelwing case, which is only compatible with SFX PSUs. Having not had it’s own SFX units in their portfolio to bundle with this case, Enermax now closed this gap.

The new Enermax Revolution SFX series comes in two versions - 550W and 650W - featuring a fully-modular design with 80 Plus Gold certification. Both units measure 125 x 100 x 63.5 millimeters (L x D x H) and they’ve been equipped with a single 80mm fan, which is not spinning while load is below 30%.

The 550W as well as the 650W unit come with fully modular cable management. Especially in combination with small cases this makes the system building process easier. Checking what’s included in the box we find two 6+2-pin PCIe cables, one 4+4-pin EPS cables, one 24-pin ATX cable, a total of six SATA connectors attached to two cables as well as two cables featuring three Molex connectors each. Additionally you’ll find an adapter bracket allowing you to also use this power supply in a case that only supports ATX PSUs.

So far Enermax has not revealed details on pricing and availability regarding both their new SFX power supplies. Still we’re pretty confident that both models will hit the market in the first half of December.
