Phanteks announces Enthoo Elite

A new extreme case

During CES 2017 in Las Vegas, the American manufacturer Phanteks has released another big-tower case which features tempered glass panels and aluminium materials. This new big-tower is modern looking and apart from that compatible with water cooling gear and high-end hardware. It is for example compatible with E-ATX motherboards and large radiators.

The Enthoo Elite measures 270 x 750 x 615mm with a net weight of 33Kg and classifies as a super big-tower. In other words this case could be as tall as your desk. To transport the enclosure safely Phanteks sell it packed in a flightcase. The exterior design is very sleek and elegant. The main chassis is made from steel and the side panels are either made from anodized aluminum or tempered glass. The top comes with a large mesh including washable dust filters.

The front comes with a lot of connectors. There are four USB 3.0, one HDMI port (for VR), one USB 3.1 Type-C and two sets of audio connectors. In addition there is also a RGB control wheel for all the LEDs placed inside and outside the case. The ten slot bezels at the back already indicate that this case is capable of housing an E-ATX motherboard but on top of that there is also space for an additional mini-ITX motherboard. Inside this case there is enough room from 13 HDDs and 6 SSDs.

Cooling-wise, you can equip the front with four 120/140mm fans, the back takes two 120/140mm fans and the top as well as the bottom each take four more 120/140mm fans. If you plan on installing a large heatsink there is 210mm clearance, in other words any CPU cooler is compatible with the Enthoo Elite.

Since the Enthoo Elite is huge, it's obviously compatible with extreme water cooling gear. Inside this model there is space for up to three 480mm radiators (top, bottom and mid plate), one 560mm radiator (front) and one 360mm radiator (side). Included in the bundle there are two brackets for pumps. To control all this fans, Phanteks includes two fan controllers right behind the motherboard tray.

The bundle is definitely extensive and includes additional brackets, supports and five 140mm fans. The Phanteks Enthoo Elite will become available in March but it’s already been listed on Caseking for 899,90 Euro.
