ASUS Maximus VI Impact miniITX ROG Motherboard - High Res Pic Update

ROG and miniTIX sounds like a recipe

While browsing Facebook a few minutes ago, we've been quite surprised to see first pictures of an ASUS Maximus VI Impact. This board features a miniITX form factor and it's based on Intels latest Z87 chipset. Furthermore this little fellow belongs to ASUS ROG line-up which makes it even more interesting.

Taking a closer looks reveals that there is obviously the ROG color scheme. Furthermore there are quite a few very interesting features, which make this board unique. Right above the single PCI-Express x16 Connector, there is the so called SupremeFX Impact card. Apparently ASUS has been looking for ways to put a decent sound card onto their miniITX board and this is the solution they came up with. On the upper edge of the board you find, what seems to be an the additional power design, which we already know from the famous P8Z77-I Deluxe miniITX board. We guess that this daughterboard offers an additional eight phases to provide even more stability.

Regarding other features you find an onboard power button and most interestingly the back panel shows some neat things. Next to four USB 3.0 as well as four USB 2.0 ports there is an HDMI output, a DisplayPort, an eSATA connector and a Gigabit Ethernet port. Obviously this is nice but not too interesting. Additionally you find a debug LED at this place, a Clr-CMOS button, an ROG connect button, as well as two more buttons which might be another power and reset button.

At the moment there is no further information on this board, but we're definitely going to keep you posted on updates.
