Kabini notebooks hit US retail/e-tail

Priced at US $399 to $499

It appears that Kabini based notebooks are slowly coming to the market and according to a report at Fudzilla.com at least three of them are currently selling in the USA. A single Gateway 15.6-incher and two Toshiba models with 17.3-inch and 15.6-inch screens.

The newly listed Kabini notebooks are all based on the same A4-5000 quad-core Kabini chip clocked at 1.5GHz paired up with Radeon HD 8330 graphics and AMD's A68M chipset. The Gateway NE52204u is the cheapest of the lot and starts at US $399. It has a 15.6-inch screen, 4GB of DDR3 memory, 500GB HDD and runs on Windows 8.

The next one in line is the Toshiba's Satellite C55Dt-A5233 model that has a 15.6-inch 1366x768 TruBrite touchscreen , 6GB of DDR3 memory and same 500GB of HDD. It feature 6-cell 48Wh battery and also runs on Windows 8. It starts at US $499.99.

The second Toshiba Satellite C75D-A7213 notebook is easily the cheapest 17.3-inch notebook on the market but unfortunately, the 1600x900 resolution and lack of touchscreen is quite a problem. It starts at US $479.99 and also comes with 6GB of DDR3 memory, a larger 1TB HDD and the same 6-cell/48Wh battery as the 15.6-incher so choice is quite simple. It also runs on Windows 8.
