EKWB shows its Radeon R9 290X water block

Start shipping on October 25th

EK Water Blocks have announced its new full-cover water cooling solution for the upcoming AMD Radeon R9 290X graphics card scheduled to officially launch on October 25th. Since it is a full-cover design, the new EK-FC R9-290X water block will take care of the GPU, RAM as well as the VRM part of the graphics card.

The new EK-FC R9-290X uses electrolytic copper for the base and cast acrylic or POM Acetal top and comes with screw-in brass standoffs and support for EK-FC Terminal that will allow fo up to four EK-FC R9 290X series water blocks to be interconnected. As noted, the EK-FC R9-290X uses full-cover design and thus cools the GPU, RAM as well as the voltage regulation module (VRM) where water flows directly over those critical areas allowing for much stable operation even under overclocking.

The EK-FC R9-290X also features a "high-flow" design that will allow it to be used even with systems that have a weaker water pump.

As it was the case with most previous water blocks from EKWB, this one will also be available in five different versions and with an aesthetic retention backplate as an option. The versions of the EK-FC R9-290X include the standard one, Acetal, Nickel, Acetal+Nickel and Nickel (Original CSQ). The standard one should sell for €92,95, Acetal for €94,95, Nickel for €104,95, Acetal+Nickel and Nickel Original CSQ) for €105,95 while the black backplate will go for €26,38.
