ASUS working on new ROG Poseidon graphics card

Best guess is GTX 780 Ti

ASUS Republic of Gamers Australia has released a new set of pictures teasing the new Republic of Gamers Poseidon graphics card. Although it did not release any details regarding the actual GPU behind it, it did reveal some details regarding the cooler and the PCB and judging by the timeframe, best guess is that we are looking at ASUS ROG GTX 780 Ti Poseidon.

Back in June, ASUS launched its Republic of Gamers ROG GTX 770 Poseidon graphics card that featured similar, although a bit less powerful, hybrid cooler with single center placed fan as well as optional water cooling. Today, we are looking at slightly different beast that uses DirectCU H20 hybrid cooler that features two fans and water block. According to ASUS, it will be 2x cooler and 3x quieter when compared to some reference cooler.

The cooler will also be equipped with glowing ROG LED logo, dual dust-proof fans as well as DIGI+ VRM equipped PCB with black metallic capacitors which should provide 30 percent less power noise and 5x greater durability. We can also see from the picture that the new Poseidon card needs 6+8-pin PCI-Express power connectors.

In any case, it looks like one mean Republic of Gamers graphics card and we are sure we will hear more details in the next couple of days.
